Saturday October 27, 1990

I spent the day at Brian's house. We hooked up with Al, Brett, and Lisa G. and then went to the Planetarium to see Laser Floyd. AMAZING!

Friday October 26, 1990

We got our Interim Reports (I'm doing fine). Handed in my Physics project. I stayed at the library after school to get a bunch of work done before going out. Met up with Brett, Brad, Brian and Al for dinner at Toby's.

Thursday October 25, 1990

We had more debates in our Law class. We looked at the subject of child abuse in Society class. Hot dogs and chips for lunch. I did homework and watched Cheers.

Wednesday October 24, 1990

I finished my Physics project. We had a debate about food in Law class. I was a linesman for the first team volleyball game. We got overloaded with a tonnes of homework.

Tuesday October 23, 1990

I wrote my Pre-SAT or PSAT. We discussed George Orwell's 1984 in English class. Harvard came in to do a presentation. I played volleyball after school.

Monday October 22, 1990

Veteran's Day in the U.S. I got 95% on my Society test. I also got 86% on my English A test. There was a surprise party for Brian, but I didn't go because I had to prepare for my PSAT (pre-SAT test).

Sunday October 21, 1990

Al, Gabe, Alter, and I went for breakfast and then Al and I took the bus home. I did homework and went to bed early.

Saturday October 20, 1990

Al and I walked around campus and did some shopping at "The PIC" - I got an awesome purple t-shirt. We had dinner with Gabe at Little Caesars and then all hit a bunch of house parties - Bernstein's, Simon's and one Alter knew about. We got WASTED!

Friday October 19, 1990

I handed in my English B short story. After school Al and I took a Greyhound to London and stayed with Gabe in Saugeen. That night we went to The Bavarian ("The Bav") with Gabe, Simon, Dan and Paul.

[Note - Gabe became friends with Simon through our grandmothers. They live in the same building and our grandmothers were talking and realized their grandsons live in the same building. They ended up looking for each other, meeting and becoming great friends. The weird thing is that I was at Western a year earlier and noticed this guy in the TV room that looked familiar for some reason - still don't know why. When I heard this story, the image of Simon immediately popped into my head and it did end up being him. Weird.]

Thursday October 18, 1990

Back to school. We had a full lower and upper school assembly. I did homework and watched Cheers.

Wednesday October 17, 1990

Last day of school holiday. I did school work and then watched Toronto lose 3-1 to the Hartford Whalers.

Tuesday October 16, 1990

No school - but went to Crescent for an Old Boys Career Fair. First I stopped by granny's for breakfast. Watched TV and did school work.

Monday October 15, 1990

No school, so I went to ... school. Just not mine. Went to Thornlea to visit a bunch of friends and then went back to Bri's house with Al. That night I hooked up with Sandro and Lundy and we went egging.

Sunday October 14, 1990

I went to the library to do work with Al. We ran into Felix there. Then Al and I met up with Mark at Town & Country.

Saturday October 13, 1990

I went over to Jordi's house with Guy. Met up later with Brett, Brian, Al, Milberg, Katzin and Roger. We headed over to Newtonbrook Bowlerama and the Toby's by Finch station.

Friday October 12, 1990

I had a bunch of tests and assignments: Math test, Physics test and Physics Lab. We had veal for lunch - my favourite! Lainie had a party that I went to with Al, Brian and Brett. A bunch of people were there, including: Ilan, Josh K, J Dyan, Krista B, Danielle, and J Zac.

Thursday October 11, 1990

Western University presentation. I played volleyball with a bunch of guys at lunch. We had a pop quiz in English A. After school I played road hockey with Felix and the other Newtonbrook guys. Alex and Paulina came over to our house.

Wednesday October 10, 1990

Queen's University presentation. I went to Hairistocracy after school for a haircut, and then mom and I grabbed Chinese food for take-out. I ate while watching the Leafs home opener against the Quebec Nordiques. The Nords won 8-5 - Sakic had 4 points, Sundin had 3.

Tuesday October 9, 1990

Yale presentation. I got 85% on my essay about George Orwell's 1984. I watched TV and then fell asleep listening to NJ v. Minnesota on the radio.

Monday October 8, 1990

Thanksgiving - no school! I did homework at Al's house. Brian, Brett, Al and I went to Subway for lunch. I had dinner at home and watched Flames 4 v. Jets 3.

Sunday October 7, 1990

Dad's 49th Birthday. Al came over to watch NFL and then we went over to Adam Burnett's house party. I ended up crashing at Al's place.

Saturday October 6, 1990

I went over to Bri's place and then we grabbed lunch at McDonald's. In the evening we hooked up with Al and Brett and had dinner at Fat Phil's. Then we headed down to Le Strip, Yonge & St. Calir, and Yonge & Eglinton.

Friday October 5, 1990

We played Murderball (aka Dodgeball) in Phys-Ed. We finished the section on trigonometry in Math. I went to see Pacific Heights with JJ and Horowitz at Highland Cinema.

[Note - I seem to recall Highland being an old cinema at Yonge and St. Clair, but not positive.]

NHL 1990-1991 Season began.

Wednesday October 3, 1990

We had someone from the University of Pennsylvania come talk to us about their school. I refereed volleyball again. I watched Wonder Years and studied for History and Law. The Blue Jays officially lost the pennant.

Tuesday October 2, 1990

I handed in my English A essay. I got 28/30 on my Physics lab work. Fish burgers for lunch. I watched TV and did homework. Spoke to Al, Guy and Freddie B on the phone.

Monday October 1, 1990

We had a full school assembly in the morning. I worked on my Physic project. I refereed a volleyball game after school. I watched a bit of the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles game. It is the Jay's last series of the regular season and they lost 6-3. That makes 5 of 6! They just blew their playoff chance after leading Boston by 1 1/2 games going into the final week.

Saturday September 29, 1990

Yom Kippur. I went to the Royal Ontario Museum with Lundy for a History assignment. Then I went over to Brian's house and hung out there with him and Al. We ended up doing a couple BTs each and going to Lime Rickey's. I crashed at Bri's that night.  

Friday September 28, 1990

Gabe's 20th birthday! I submitted my English B short story. I got 88% on my Physics test but totally bombed my Math test (67%). I played floor hockey in the gym after school.
