I spent the day running errands with mom. The whole family rented and watched Hannah & Her Sisters.

Watched Wimbeldon on TV. Did work on the house. The Zarvinsky's came over.

Saturday June 27, 1987

Gary Berman's Bar-Mitzvah. Hart & I went to Town & Country to buy Gary a $40 gift certificate at Benetton. The Bar Mitzvah was amazing! Hart came over after to see Wet Rainbow.

Friday June 26, 1987

Went to the JCC w/Kamin, Jordi and Guy. Brett Massey, Brad, Cherry and Ryan F were also there. Ended up playing some floor hockey. Played tennis with Gabe in the evening. Also helped paint some rooms in the house.

Thursday June 25, 1987

I went to the JCC with Kamin, saw Aaron Bealor and Brett Massey there. Played tennis with Gabe at night. Dolick and Manya came over.

Wednesday June 24, 1987

Summer of '87 commences. Jon, Hart, Singer, Yves & I got up at 5am … went on a long walk/journey to Moniques, the school, McDonald's and Hart's place. Spoke to Tammy, Osher and Jordi.

Tuesday June 23, 1987

The last day of school/grade 7! My report card: A/ Math, English, Geography, French, Art; B/History, Science C/Band, Gym. Yves had a huge pool party @ his house (although I wasn't allowed to swim). Slept over @ Yves w/Jon C, Hart & Singer.

Monday June 22, 1987

Finally went back to school. I won 4 Merit Awards. I went to Hart's for lunch with Yves. Mohawk won houseleagues. Went to see Roxanne w/Gabe & dad. Wimbeldon started.

Sunday June 21, 1987

Father's Day. Helped rip down wallpaper in parent's room. I went to McDonald's for dinner. Watched Married With Children. Parents went to Laura Specter's Birthday.

Saturday June 20, 1987

Took Pepper for a long walk. Gabe and I went to The Promenade and bought dad a Father's Day gift. Played baseball with kids in our hood. Hung out with my neighbour w/Marc, and Steve from Inglis Gate.

Friday June 19, 1987

Took Pepper for a long walk to G Ross Lord Park. Watched TV. Talked to Jordi and Brian.

Thursday June 18, 1987

Went grocery shopping with mom. Yves and Hart called. I went to the park with Pepper. We watched dad and Gabe play tennis.

Wednesday June 17, 1987

Furniture shopping with mom and dad - went to DeBoer's, Idomo and Ikea. Played tennis with Gabe at Rockford - weird considering we went to kindergarten there ... brought back some vague memories. Watched TV.

Tuesday June 16, 1987

Went for check-up with Dr. Cassai. Had lunch at Kiva's with mom and Gabe. Talked to Singer. Watched TV.

Monday June 15, 1987

Very boring day - wanted to go back to school. Cleaned my room. Grandparents came over.

Sunday June 14, 1987

Rested and watched TV all day - Married With Children, etc. Talked to Singer, Ulrich and Hart.

Saturday June 13, 1987

Paul Kamin's Bar-Mitzvah - couldn't go because still not well enough. Rented Ruthless People and relaxed at home all day. Spoke to Brian, Gary and Singer. Tzippy and Manya came over.

Friday June 12, 1987

In hospital all day. More blood and urine tests. Eventually released from the hospital at around 6pm.

Thursday June 11, 1987

We went to see Dr. Cassai. He sent me to Sick Kid's Hospital. Did 2 blood tests and a urine test. Was kept overnight in the hospital for observation.

Wednesday June 10, 1987

Went to see Dr. Zubkov - he diagnosed me with mononucleosis. Watched Head of the Class. Jays beat Yankees 4-1. Threw up. Workers in the house putting up walls to create an office for mom.

Tuesday June 9, 1987

Area E Track & Field Meet - obviously I didn't go. Gabe's last day of school. Talked to Kamin, Hart and Jordi on the phone. Hart broke up with Shelly. Grandparents came over.

Monday June 8, 1987

Sick again. Missed another day of school. Went to the doctor with my mom - got put on new medication. Talked on the phone. Watched TV. Lots of sleeping.

Sunday June 7, 1987

I woke up feeling a bit better. Friends from school were calling to see if I was OK. Lendl beat Wilander in the French Open final. Watched the Tony Awards with my folks. Les Miserables cleaned house.

Saturday June 6, 1987

I gave my Blue Jays tickets to Gabe because I was too sick to go. Lila, Izzy, Dolik & Manya came over. Watched some wrestling. Talked to my friends on the phone. Steffi Graf won the women's French Open title.

Friday June 5, 1987

P.A. Day - unfortunately I would have got the day off anyway. I went to see the doctor with a temperature of 40. Grandparents came over to the house. We had the new TV installed in the house. Lendl and Wilander won in French Open semis.

Thursday June 4, 1987

I missed school and had a temperature of 38. Gabe found Wet Rainbow behind the bar in the basement. Electrician came to install the new lighting. Watched Martina Navratalova's match in the French Open.

Wednesday June 3, 1987

Gabe drove me to school. I ate lunch at Hart's place. We watched a movie in Mrs. Genrich's class. Gabe picked me up from Hart's place after school and drove me home. Again, felt very sick in the evening and ended up puking in my bowl of soup.

Tuesday June 2, 1987

Dad and I spent the day removing nails and minor renos around the house. Walked up to the McDonald's at Bathurst for lunch. This was the McDonald's I used to have my birthday parties at when we lived at 5 Fisherville. The movers and mom showed up in late afternoon with all of our stuff. We had Kiva's for dinner. Started feeling ill in the evening and ended up going to bed with a fever.

Monday June 1, 1987

Took ownership of the house at 5 Shenstone Rd. Missed school and spent the day unpacking stuff w/mom & Gabe. Grandparents came by at lunch. Watched the French Open: Ivan Lendl & Yannik Noah.
