I went to a flea market with parents and Vicky. Watched TV.

Saturday July 30, 1988

Jordi, Guy, Katzin and I went to Ontario Place. We went on the waterslides and then went to see Jays versus Yankees. Jays lost 3-1. I caught a ball! I wrote Brooke a letter.

(Note: Jeff writes: "And if memory serves me correctly, I caught Jesse Barfield's battingglove after he flew out to deep left-center against Dave Righetti.")

Friday July 29, 1988

I worked from 7:30-3:30pm. After work I played tennis with some kid that was a huge pusher and beat him 7-5. Then I went swimming with Cherry. Then I played tennis again with Gary. Watched the Jay game versus Yankees.

Thursday July 28, 1988

A bunch of my friends get home from camp - Jordi, Paul, Jeff and Bram. Gabe and I went to the JCC and swam, played tennis, etc.

Wednesday July 27, 1988

Brian left to be with his dad in Connecticut. I played tennis with Gary and Cherry. Got paid $60 for my first few days of work. I played soccer that night and we won 5-3 ... I had a goal and 3 assists.

Tuesday July 26, 1988

I worked from 11-7pm, an 8 hour shift that grossed me $40. It was actually a pretty fun day. I told McDonald's I couldn't come back to work because I was bitten by a dog. I rented The Squeeze and played tetherball with Gabe and Pepper.

July 25, 1988

Tzippy and Brooke left for sleepover camp. Northland session 1 came home. Gary and I went to the bus drop off to meet Brian. Brian's mom, Shayna, took all of us for dinner at Center Street Deli. Watched TV.

Sunday July 24, 1988

Worked all day. Watched TV and played with Pepper.

Saturday July 23, 1988

Slept in and then watched TV all day. Rented P'tang, Yang, Kipperbang, a really good English film by Michael Apted.

Friday July 22, 1988

I spent the entire day working at The Valley with Andrew Cherry. Gary was there too. Went to the Zarvinsky's for dinner. Tzippy and her friend Michaela showed up later from the Belina Carlisle concert.

Thursday July 21, 1988

Ryan and I went to Sluggers, then we went to meet up with Gary at The Valley tennis club. I ended up getting a job working in the cafeteria there. I went to Laureleaf plaza to meet up with Tzippy, Brooke, and saw Cliffy there.

Wednesday July 20, 1988

Watched TV. Went to soccer. Gabe came to watch but we got disqualified for not having enough players. We did a scrimage and I scored the winning goal. Watched a French movie.

Tuesday July 19, 1988

Tzippy and I went to Chocky's and then went to her house for dinner. After dinner we went to my house to watch First Blood.

Monday July 18, 1988

I got a letter from Jordi. Tzippy and I went to see Bull Durham at Promenade. I also rented Octopussy.

Sunday July 17, 1988

I went to the JCC with Gabe. Watched TV. Pepper bit me.

Saturday July 16, 1988

I went to wiork from 10:30am-2:00pm. I watched Benji The Hunted. Parents threw a party at our place: Dolik, Manya, Leah, Izzy, Yannik and Tania Fishman, Vicka, Davik, Luba, granny, and Sharon.

Friday July 15, 1988

Davik (Vicka's brother and my mom's 1st cousin) came from San Diego to stay with us and see his sister. Gabe and I went to the JCC (I had to get a new membership). That night I rented Goldfinger and Benji The Hunted.

Thursday July 14, 1988

Pay day at work. I worked from 11-2pm and then got my cheque for $104.06 for my first 3 weeks. Watched TV.

Wednesday July 13, 1988

Played ping-pong with Gabe. I went over to Gary's place. We swam, had lunch, pleayed on the computer and then had our soccer game. I played in goal and we tied 2-2. Ordered a pizza for dinner.

Tuesday July 12, 1988

I worked from 11 until 2:30pm. Gary and I went to Sluggers and Town and Country. We saw Carrie Eisenstein at Sluggers (her family owned it). Played ping-pong.

Monday July 11, 1988

I worked from 11 - 2pm. Gabe and I went to the JCC and played tennis and swam. We ran into Max Fishman there. Played ping-pong. Watched Prayer For The Dying.

Sunday July 10, 1988

Gabe and I went to Mr. Sub for lunch. Rented Spaceballs and Prayer For The Dying.

Saturday July 9, 1988

I went to work from 6am to 10:30am. Went for a long bike ride with Marc and Steve. Then we went over to Steve's place and watched Back To The Beach.

Friday July 8, 1988

Gabe and I went to the JCC together. We played basketball and swam, then went over to Dairy Queen for Blizzards. I just watched TV that night.

Thursday July 7, 1988

Gary and I went over to Tzipy's place and watched Fatal Attraction w/her and Brooke. Granny came over for dinner. I played ping-pong and kicked the soccer ball around.

Wednesday July 6, 1988

I played tennis with Gary and Al. Then we all went over to Ryan's place and played Nintendo. I went to see License to Drive with Brooke @ The Madison.

Tuesday July 5, 1988

I went over to Tzippy's to hang out with her and Brooke. Then Brooke and I took the bus home together. Played ping-pong. Gabe looking for a job - getting frustrated.

Monday July 4, 1988

US Independence Day. Gave Pepper a bath with shampoo. Cleaned shit in the backyard. Played ping-pong. Went to soccer practice. Stefan Edberg defeated Boris Becker in a dramatic Wimbledon 4-set final (3-6,7-6,6-4,6-2). Rented Moscow On The Hudson.

Sunday July 3, 1988

The whole family took Vicka to Niagara Falls and then went to Leah & Izzy's place in Burlington after. We had a big barbecue there and played badminton and soccer.

Saturday July 2, 1988

I went to work. Steffi Graf won Wimbledon. I went downtown to Hazelton Lanes with Tzippy and Brooke. Hung out with Tzippy while she worked. Gary, Cliff and I went to see Coming To America at Town & Country.

Friday July 1, 1988

Canada Day. I went to the park with Marc and watched him fly his new kite. I worked from 4:30 to 10pm. We went over to the Zarvinsky's - I finally met Brooke in person.

Thursday June 30, 1988

Played ping-pong. Went to work - this time they had me on cash - from 1 to 4:15. Played Richmond Hill in baseball. We won by 1 and I had 3 singles and 4 RBIs.

Wednesday June 29, 1988

Played ping-pong. Mom, Dad, Gabe, Dolik, and I took Vicky to the Eaton Center. Missed my soccer game. We tied 1-1.

Tuesday June 28, 1988

I spent the day at Shelby's with Nikki S, Melissa, Deb S, Hedi and Nazreen. Watched some Wimbledon. I had my first day of work at McDonald's - from 5 to 8:30. Brutal.

Monday June 27, 1988

Vicka Shaposhnikov, my mom's first cousin, arrived from Russia to stay with us. Her family is considering emigrating from Russia (Moscow). Gary, Brett, Brian, Ulrich and I hung out at German Mills tennis courts playing tennis. Gary and I went to Nikki Sussman's after. Shelby, Melissa, and Deb Sand there. All of us went over to McDonald's for lunch. Saw Gary Don on the bus on my way home. Watched Wimbledon. Played some soccer in Rockford park that night.
