Thursday August 30, 1990

Al and I went over to Brett's house and swam. We then walked over to Bishop's Cross and threw a baseball around, and then grabbed some pizza. I then went back to Funstation with Brad, Al, Brian and Roger. We stopped in at Golden Star for late eats.

Wednesday August 29, 1990

Dave Fingret's 16th birthday surprise party. There were a bunch of people there, including: Peck, Brett, Katzin, Newman, Sesel, T Diamond, Levine, Fisch, George S, Jamie Alexander, Finkelstein, Maren, Maxine, Elana, Debra G, Rebecca L, Mira, Yves, Robyn Levy, Casey, J Zac, Tommy, Kenny, Rachel, Amy, Bockner, M Fagen, Lainie, Sarah Z, etc.

Tuesday August 28, 1990

I rented 9 1/2 Weeks. I went to Marlon's with Bram, Cindy and Daniel.

[Note - I have zero recollection of who any of those people are.]

Monday August 27, 1990

I helped mom around the house and then went to Al's place. We rented Family Business and listened to the Bruce Springsteen CDs. I had dinner with his family and then went to his baseball game at Bishop's Cross. Guy, Andrew Butters, Cliff, Fishback, George S, Guy, Milberg, Newman, Ryan, S Gotlieb, and P Tesis were all there.

Sunday August 26, 1990

We took Gabe back to London and helped him move into his new place. That night I went to Funstation and Toby's (Yonge and Finch) with Brett, Al and Brad. 

[Note - Funstation was at Jane and Finch, considered one of the roughest neighbourhoods in Toronto. If only our parents knew where their kids were hanging out!]

Saturday August 25, 1990

I watched Casualties of War with Gabe. Then I went down to Sluggers with Jordi. That evening Brad, Jordi, Al, Guy and I went to the Madison and saw Men At Work. It turns out at that Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez are actually brothers.

Friday August 24, 1990

I went to the Skyline Club with Gabe, dad and his partner John. We had dinner at home and I just ran errands around the house.

Thursday August 23, 1990

I went to Shopper's Drug Mart and grabbed a pile of coupons for Canada's Wonderland (it was $10 off of every admission). Then I went to Canada's Wonderland and would approach people in the parking lot and sell them the coupon for $5 a person. I ended up making $150 in a few hours! Then I went over to granny's place and had dinner there. After dinner I met up with Guy, Al, Jordi and Brad at Pickle Barrel on Leslie.  

Wednesday August 22, 1990

Al, Jordi, Brad, Sesel and I spent the day hanging around the Promenade. I went back to Al's house for dinner and we rented the movie Ski Patrol.

Tuesday August 21, 1990

I went over to Al's house. We went to Markham Place and played a bit of tennis. I went grocery shopping with mom and rented Mystic Pizza.

Monday August 20, 1990

I woke up and watched The Deer Hunter ... whoa! I went to Chi Chi's with Katzin, Maren, and a bunch of their colleagues from Forest Valley Camp.

Sunday August 19, 1990

I rode my bike all the way to Al's house. A huge group of us went to Town & Country and saw My Blue Heaven: Al, Brad, Brett, Buntman, Fingret, Ilan, J Dyan, J Rich, Jordi, Katzin, Lainie, Levine, Maren, Michelle W, Milberg, Peck, Rebecca L, Roger, Sesel, and Shana.

Saturday August 18, 1990

Al and I rented Fandango (one of his favourite movies). I went to the CNE with Katzin, Fingret, Maren, J Finkelstein and M Shankman.

[Note: small world. I met Maren through JJ ... she went to Havergal and was friends with Schulich, and then Jeff met her at Forest Valley Day Camp and ended up dating her. Finkelstein and Shankman were friends of Dave's from camp.]

Friday August 17, 1990

Al, Guy and I went back to Fairview Mall. Then we went over to Nicki's place and met her friend from camp - J Osher. A bunch of us met up around German Mills and just hung out: Al, Cherry,  J Dyan, Milberg, Lainie, Belinda, and Shana.

Thursday August 16, 1990

My 16th Birthday! We picked up a bunch of Chinese food and had people over for an early dinner. Luba and Paulina were here. Guy, Al, Brian, Buntman, JJ, Horowitz and Jordi also came. Later on I went over to Al's place and crashed there.  

Wednesday August 15, 1990

Northland second session came home. I played tennis with Al at German Mills. Cherry, Al and I went to Square One in Mississauga. Then I went over to Guy's house for dinner and to play Sega.

Tuesday August 14, 1990

Guy, Al and I went shopping at Fairview Mall. I got a new pair of jeans. A huge group of us all went to Wildwoods for dinner: Jordi, Rog, Kev, Guy, Al, Buntman, Bram, Bender, Erin Y, Belinda, Michelle W, Tammy, Shana, Maxine, Diana, Lindsay, Marlon, Shawn.

Monday August 13, 1990

Jordi, Guy and I went to the Promenade for some clothes shopping. Mom's colleague from Hairistocracy - Gino - came over to our house for dinner. Jordi, Guy, Al and I went back to the Promenade to see Flatliners.

Sunday August 12, 1990

Al and I went over to Guy's house to play Nintendo Golf. Guy, Jordi and I went over to Danielle's place.

[Note - Danielle was a fairly attractive girl that I got digits from at some house party. At this point I was still on the shy front. Instead of going to her place on my own - she lived on Holsworthy Cres., 1 street down from Al's house on Ravengloss Dr. - I ended up dragging my friends with me. Of course Al ended up being the one to make a move and get action.]

Saturday August 11, 1990

I worked from 10-2. I went over to Al's place after work. We hung out there and then met up with Jordi and Guy and went to some house party. I ended up sleeping over at Al's house.

Friday August 10, 1990

I rented Nintendo golf again and went over to Guy's house. Later on we met up with Al and headed over to Danielle's house (Michelle was there too).

Thursday August 9, 1990

I went to the JCC and played tennis against Leon, and won 6-1. I worked from 5:30-10:00pm.

Wednesday August 8, 1990

I went over to Guy's house to play Nintendo golf. That night we went to Marlon's party with Buntman, Sesel, Al, Yves, Gary Don, Bender, Cindy, Maxine, Lindsey F, and Michelle W.

Tuesday August 7, 1990

herry and I went to Canada's Wonderland with Alyssa and Theresa. We did the rides during the day and then saw Richard Marx and Wilson Phillips at Kingswood Music Theatre. We sat on the grass and it was actually a pretty great show.

[Note - Cherry met one of the 2 girls earlier and was only able to swing a date if he brought a friend and she could bring a friend. Clearly hoping to score he appealed to his top wingman for aid. Unfortunately I don't think anything worth remembering went down ... since I needed Cherry to remind me who they even were. On another note, Chynna Phillips was/is a knockout!]

Sunday August 5, 1990

I went with parents to Alex and Paulina's place. They live in a condo with a pool so we swam and hung out until dinner, and then we ate in their place. After eating I went to play billiards with Felix (their son). 

Saturday August 4, 1990

I worked from 1:00-6:30pm. Drove to a few house parties with Guy, Jordi, Roger, J Rich, Buntman, Gary Don and Tamara.

Friday August 3, 1990

I went to the JCC with Cherry and Newman. After playing tennis, basketball and swimming, we went to see The Freshman. After the movie we grabbed a slice of pizza and went to Studio 81.

Thursday August 2, 1990

Guy and I spent the day swimming at Brad's house. Jordi, Guy, Al, Buntman and I went to Olive Garden for dinner and then went to Studio 81.

Wednesday August 1, 1990

I played baseball with my neighbours and then went swimming at their house. Jordi, Guy, Bram, Aviva, Rog and I went over to Gary Don's house. We hung out there for a while and then headed to Cafe Rendezvous.

I slept in and then had a few hours to relax before working from 1:30-10:00pm.

Monday July 30, 1990

I rented Johnny Handsome and made a nice lunch. Then I barfed it all up after watching that pile of shit! Took the Steeles West 60 to Town & Country and worked from 5:30-10:00pm.
