Studied. Subs for lunch. Gleed and I skipped the afternoon and went to study at a coffee shop.

Monday May 28, 1990

Went to school but spent most of the classes studying for exams. We had chili for lunch. My first day of work at Canadian Tire (5-10 pm shift).

Mom's 47th Birthday. I studied for exams all day. We watched a special with Andre Phillipe Gagnon and then went to Lime Rickey's with Brad and Jordi.

Friday May 25, 1990

English B test. Jordi and I went to see Bird On A Wire at The Promenade. We ran into Fingret, Katzin and Rog there.

Thursday May 24, 1990

Sports Day. I played tennis against Mike Lee (Hudson House) and won 6-2. Hot dogs for lunch. I studied for exams after dinner.

[Note: Sports Day was a final day of competition between all of the Houses and would determine the championship. I believe Hudson House won this year.]

Wednesday May 23, 1990

We played badminton in Phys-Ed. I umpired the U-16 baseball tournament. I started studying for final exams.

Tuesday May 22, 1990

Handed in my book report for English B. We got Harpers baseball hats with our House ame on it (mine was a red Wolfe hat). Frank'n'beans for lunch. I played tennis in the afternoon: beating Adam Ruhnke 7-5 and losing to Gabriel 6-3.

Monday May 21, 1990

Victoria Day - no school! I spent the day hanging out at Guy's house. In the evening we went to Gretman Crescent to check out fireworks with Jordi, Buntman, Brad, Sesel, Nicki Jacobs and Sussman, Shelby W and Alyssa N.

Sunday May 20, 1990

Dad took Gabe and I to his club. They played squash and I just did my sauna thing. After dinner I watched Bright Lights, Big City.

Saturday May 19, 1990

I went over to Guy's place for the afternoon. I found out that I got hired at Canadian Tire. That evening we went bowling at Newtonbrook with Sesel, Jordi and Buntman.

Friday May 18, 1990

We had a school trip to the Mclaughlin Planetarium. Jordi, Guy and I went to Lime Rickey's. We ran into: Trevor, Blair, Ron, J Rich, Milberg, G Perlman, Gary Don, Roger, Belinda, Jen Wine, Candace, Elyse, etc.

Thursday May 17, 1990

I got 76% on my Accounting test and a combined 87.5% on the 2 History tests. We watched a movie on steroids in Health (Phys-Ed) class. We also had a French vocab test. Watched TV and went to bed early.

Wednesday May 16, 1990

I watched the U-15 Rugby game. Took off early and went to Canadian Tire at Town & Country to apply for a job. Watched TV.

Tuesday May 15, 1990

I handed in my Science notes and wrote a Science test. Fish sticks for lunch. After school Gabe and I went to some tennis warehouse sale and I got new shorts.

Monday May 14, 1990

We had a school assembly in the morning. I wrote a test in History. Started doing "health" in Phys-Ed class. Did homework and watched TV.

Sunday May 13, 1990

Mother's Day. Gabe and I went to see Cinema Paradiso at The Madison. We had a big Mother's Day dinner at home in the evening.



[Note - Gabe and I both bawled our eyes out in that movie. The ending where he looks at footage of people kissing on film still leaves me gutted.]

Gabe came home from Western. I saw House Party at The Promenade with Jordi. Kid'n Play in the house!

Friday May 11, 1990

I handed in my essay on The Sixtees. We started reading A Streetcar Named Desire. We had an intense game of red ass after school. Watched TV and went to bed early.

Thursday May 10, 1990

I wrote another Accounting test - Chaper 11&12. Finished my essay. We played football in Phys-Ed. Chicken wings for lunch. Arnold slept ver at our place.

Wednesday May 9, 1990

Not feeling well so stayed home. Granny Liza (my dad's mom) came for a visit from Israel. Studied and worked on my essay.

Tuesday May 8, 1990

I handed in my first draft of the essay on The Sixties. I went home early. Granny came over to our house for dinner. Watched TV and did work on my essay.

Monday May 7, 1990

I handed in my Beatles essay and wrote 2 tests: French Test - Chapter 3 and Accounting test - Chapters 10&11. We went for a long run in gym.

Slept in. Stayed in and did work on my Beatles essay.

Saturday May 5, 1990

I played tennis at German Mills with Brian, Cliff and Al. I went to Le Strip with Jordi and Guy.

[Note: I was told about Le Strip by a few Crescent guys. It was the seediest joint you could possibly imagine. Picture the first 4 rows of a really old movie theatre and then a stripper who comes out and does 1 song. Then she goes from person to person in the front row and sticks her lady parts right in their face. In return the patron would slide a $1 bill into her stockings. Awesome.]

I wrote 2 big tests: Math test and English B - Romantic Period test. We had a guest spreaker to discuss advertising. Brian, Sesel, Guy, Buntman and I went to see The First Power at The Promenade.

Thursday May 3, 1990

We had spaghetti for lunch. I went over to granny's place after school for dinner. Studied for both upcoming tests and watched a little TV.

Wednesday May 2, 1990

We held debates about feminism in English A. Hot dogs for lunch. I watched Doogie Howser and game 1 Oilers 5 Blackhawks 2. The Soviet Union won the World Ice Hockey Championships.

Handed in my scrapbook for English A class. I got 8.5/12 on Math quiz and 16/20 on my Science test. Grilled cheese for lunch. We watched a movie on feminism in English A. I went to The Promenade with mom and handed my resume in to a bunch of stores.

Monday April 30, 1990

I got 105% with the bonus answer on the History test. I got 82% on my Phys-Ed test. And I got 80% on my Accounting test. I went home right after school and did homework. Gabe left on a trip to Florida.
