Thursday April 30, 1987

We had a class trip to the Pickering Power Plant. Started Fairy Tale studies. Singer and I did a skit together for French class. I went to Hart's for lunch with Singer. Quebec and Isles won their games.

Wednesday April 29, 1987

I went to Hart's for lunch. We had the relay team tryouts ... and I fell well short. Andrew Bonham and Jon Poster made it. I got a D on my band test. Toronto lost 3-0 to Detroit.

Tuesday April 28, 1987

I went to Hart's for lunch. I collected the money I raised from Jump Rope for Heart. Watched the Quebec v. Montreal game - Quebec lost.

Monday April 27, 1987

I went over to Hart's for lunch. Houseleague baseball started - we won 16-6. Toronto beat Detroit 3-2 in overtime to take a 3-1 series lead. Edmonton won its series (over Winnipeg).

Sunday April 26, 1987

Went to see Gabe compete in a swim meet in the morning. Played road hockey w/Guy, Jordi, Briski, Kamin, Shane, Mark Owen and Yanner. After dinner went to the German Mills courts to rally with Gabe and Levy. Quebec lost to the bloody Habs!

Saturday April 25, 1987

Kamin, Yves, Gary, Hart, Bri and I went to Richmond Hill Country Club. Yves kicked Paul's ass in squash and Paul was a total suck about it. Mira's Party. Toronto and Winnipeg lost.

Friday April 24, 1987

Math books due. Ms. Genrich's assembly. Singer and I went to Harts's for lunch. Band test. Quebec and Isles lost.

Thursday April 23, 1987

Hart and I went to Singer's for lunch. I got D on the band test. Toronto and Edmonton won - Toronto on to round 2. I didn't get 1 phonecall all night.

Wednesday April 22, 1987

I got an A+(96%) on my math test. Parents freaked out because Gabe didn't show up to dinner at grandparents' place (he forgot). Quebec and Islanders won.

Tuesday April 21, 1987

Back to school. I went to Hart's for lunch. Got 90% on my history map and 84% on the history test. Leafs and Oilers won.

Monday April 20, 1987

Played tennis with Gary and Brian. Went over to Bregi's place. We ended up having a huge water fight - Jordi, Kamin, Tammy, Bregi & Osher by Bresgi's pool. Quebec beat Montreal!

Sunday April 19, 1987

I played tennis with Gabe, Ven & his other friend at Bayview Fairways courts. I ended up spending the rest of the afternoon with Brian and Hart. That night Hart, Brian & I slept over at Singer's place. We were playing this game that whoever made a noise all the other guys would give them a few punches. It was just playful little skirmishes until I was the one to make a noise. The next thing I know Hart takes a running jump off the bed, double knee drop onto my back. I got completely winded and couldn't breath. Needless to say I got totally freaked out because I thought I was going to die and Singer's mom was not amused. I really know how to pick best friends.

Saturday April 18, 1987

Gabe & I played tennis in the morning - he won 6-3. Then went to see Blind Date with Jordi. John and Gintara came over for dinner. I went over to Brian's to watch Islanders vs. Capitals game that went on until 2am (Pat Lafontaine eventually scored the winner)! I actually went home before the game finished and didn't see the ending. Bummer.

Friday April 17, 1987

No school - 4 day holiday because of Good Friday. Thanks Jesus! Played hours of road hockey with Gary, Ulrich, Brian, Ron, Kamin, Jeff, Mark Owen, Shane, Jordi and Bram Rubinoff. Brian & Gary came over to watch Down and Out In Beverly Hills.

Thursday April 16, 1987

Handed in my book report. Wrote a math test. Went to Hart's for lunch. I got an A on my science presentation. Quebec and Toronto won their respective games.

Wednesday April 15, 1987

I went to school for 1/2 day. In the afternoon I went bowling at Newtonbrook w/Guy, Katzin, Kamin and Jordi. Gabe rented About Last Night. Finished my book report.

Tuesday April 14, 1987

Huge Passover baseball game: M&G Berman, Ulrich, Gasee, Perki, Jordi, Kamin, Katzin, Guy, etc. That night I watched Soul Man and the Leafs beat St. Louis 2-1.

Monday April 13, 1987

Went to Hart's place for lunch. Gary and I played baseball (wall ball) after school. Passover dinner w/grandparents. Guy came into a 1st place tie with me in the hockey pool.

Sunday April 12, 1987

Gabe picked up my jacket from Richmond Hill CC. I took over 1st place in the hockey pool. Paul & I went to see The Secret of My Success. John (my dad's business partner) and his wife Gintara came over to our house for dinner. The Leafs won 2-1.

Saturday April 11, 1987

Jordan Karry's Bar Mitzvah. I ended up forgetting my jean jacket at the temple. Huge problem getting a drive home from Richmond Hill CC (my parents sucked when it came to driving me anywhere). Kamin's mom ended up taking us to Bayview Village and then gave me a ride. Leafs lost 5 - 3 in game 2.

Friday April 10, 1987

Played baseball at German Mills after school. Hart and I got into a big fistfight but then made up right after. That night Gabe, Ulrich, Hart & I played doubles at the German Mills courts.

Thursday April 9, 1987

Went to McDonald's for lunch and met a girl from Highland. I got invited to Mira's party. A bunch of us played baseball after school.

Wednesday April 8, 1987

Went to Katzin's house after school to draft my hockey playoff pool. The NHL playoffs started. Changed the format this year from best of 5 to best of 7 in the first round (fewer upsets). The Leafs lost 3-1 to St. Louis.

Tuesday April 7, 1987

History test. Spelling test. Ball hockey final: we lost 3-2.

Monday April 6, 1987

Jays won their home opener 7-3. It was Jump Rope For Heart day at school. I went to Hart's for lunch. Had a French music presentation in the afternoon.

Sunday April 5, 1987

Last day of the NHL regular season. Russ Courtnall finished as the top Leaf scorer. I went to see Police Academy 4 with Gary, Brian, Hart, Bresgi and Osher. Hart fought some Italian dude

Saturday April 4, 1987

Played tennis with Hart and Ulrich at Mayfair. Later in the afternoon Hart and I hung out at Singer's place. Watched the Leafs beat Chicago 3-1.

Friday April 3, 1987

I wrote a math test. My French Journal was due. Modelling audition (no recollection of what exactly this was, but I assure you I didn't get the gig). I went over to Brian's with Gary.

Thursday April 2, 1987

Hart, Brian, Gary, Singer and I went to McDonalds for lunch. Ball hockey playoffs started - we won 9-8. Quebec Nordiques made the playoffs. Monish's sister died.

Wednesday April 1, 1987

April Fool's Day! Had lunch at Hart's place. Hart got into fight with Ron and ended up with a shiner.

Tuesday March 31, 1987

I got an A+ on my math test. I went to Ulrich's for lunch - he introduced me to Doritos Cool Ranch chips. Ball hockey game - we won 12-2.

Monday March 30, 1987

Received a B on History Test. Ulrich and I went to Hart's for lunch. I watched the Academy Awards - Platoon won Best Picture.
