Spent the day packing for our move to 5 Shenstone Rd. (took possession the next day). Game 7 Stanley Cup Final - Edmonton Oilers won 3-1 over the Philadelphia Flyers. The Conn Smythe went to Ron Hextall - rare to see it go to a player on the losing team.

Saturday May 30, 1987

Hart's Bar-Mitzvah. His mom came in from Chicago. Ulrich asked Jill Brown to "go around". Watched Pretty In Pink at Singer's.

Friday May 29, 1987

Somehow a huge rumor started that there was going to be a massive rumble between Thornlea/German Mills and Highland ... but it never happened. I went to Hart's for lunch - KD again! Played tetherball with Ulrich and Yves. Hung out after with both Shellys.

Thursday May 28, 1987

Took a written Music Test and a Math Test. Played tetherball with Hart. I came in 2nd for the 800 Meter tryout. Oilers lost 4-3 (game 7 needed).

Wednesday May 27, 1987

I got an A (32/40) on my French Test. Wrote a Science Test. Hart came over for lunch. Played tetherball after school w/Hart, Brian, Damon. Talked on the phone with Jordi.

Tuesday May 26, 1987

We did our history presentation and it went really well. McDonald's for lunch with Hart. Played tetherball w/Milberg & Ulrich. Mom's 45th birthday - grandparents and the Zarvinsky's came over to our house. Watched Cecilia Bolocco (Chile) win Miss. Universe. Philly beat Oilers 4-3 (Oilers led series 3-2).

Monday May 25, 1987

I didn't make the relay team. Wrote a French Test. Ate lunch at Hart's place. After school we had our last history presentation rehearsal at Ryan's. Went to Markham Place to get mom a birthday present.

Sunday May 24, 1987

Saw E.G.T.C. with Hart. Went to Singer's for lunch. Oilers won 4-1 over Philly. Did homework.

Saturday May 23, 1987

Ryan, Singer & I worked on the history project, then went to the Fun Fair at Markham Place. Later on Hart & I skateboarded to Green Lane. We hung around Hasty Market w/Zahler, Jonas & Jon Cohen. Went over to Zahler's and played basketball on the driveway.

Friday May 22, 1987

Oral French Test - I got an A+. I went over to Hart's for lunch - had Kraft Dinner again. I worked on the history project at Ryan's. Went back to Singer's to watch Comic Relief. Oilers lost 5-3.

Thursday May 21, 1987

Wrote the weekly spelling test. I went to Hart's for lunch. Studied for French and practiced for the band test. I went over to Ryan's house with Singer. Got into a big fight with my dad and slept 1/2 the night in Gabe's car.

Wednesday May 20, 1987

Practiced for the band test. We had a tetherball tournament - I lost to Greg Cohen. I
got an A+ (96%) on my math test. Oilers beat Philly 3-2 OT. Gabe and I rented Risky Business.

Tuesday May 19, 1987

Willowbrook went to Quebec City. I got A's on 3 tests and my French journal. Finished my history project w/Singer & Ryan. Comedy Awards on TV.

Monday May 18, 1987

Victoria Day so no school. I went to Kamin's - boxed, played ping pong and listened to Best of OMD. In the afternoon we went to see American Ninja 2. The Zarvinsky's came over to our house for dinner that night. All of us watched firecrackers.

Spent the day swimming, playing baseball and just hanging out with Hart, Damon, Phil, Brian, Singer, Miles Sherman, Gary, Jon Cohen, Kamin, Neil, Shelly V/P, Jordi, Guy, Bram, Monique and Kyle.

Andrew Cherry's Bar-Mitzvah - which was awesome! Tammy, Osher, Cara, etc.
Saw The Gate w/Hart, Damon, and Zahler; then went to Bresgi's with Kamin and Tammy.

Math Test. School trip to Young People's Theater and The Organ Grinder. Talked on the phone with Osher.

Thursday May 14, 1987

I had a history presentation and French test. Played basketball after school with Mikey, Hart, Ron, Ryan, Brian, Ulrich and Yves. Philly won the series over Montreal!

Wednesday May 13, 1987

I started reading The Diary of Anne Frank. Taha fought Paul again! Played basketball with Ron, Brian, Ulrich, Hart, Ryan and Mikey. Organized my room.

Tuesday May 12, 1987

Big fight after school - Taha fought Paul Tesis. I went over to Singer's to watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Montreal beat the Flyers 5-2 to force a game 7.

Monday May 11, 1987

I went over to Hart's for lunch. Watched the Oilers beat Detroit 3-2.

Sunday May 10, 1987

Mother's Day - gave mom chocolates. Gabe and I got mini-basketball nets for our rooms. Played tennis with Ulrich and then we watched Enter The Dragon. Philly won 6-3.

Saturday May 9, 1987

Got a mother's day present at Markham Place at lunch. Went to the Harvey's by Bishops Cross with Singer & Ryan for dinner. Watched TV at Singer's house. Oilers won 3-1 over Detroit.

Friday May 8, 1987

Hart left for the weekend to see his mom in Chicago. I went to Bri's house after school with Ulrich and Singer. Ended up watching Philly beat Montreal 4-3.

Thursday May 7, 1987

I got an A on my history book. Ryan Long lent me his Don Cherry Greatest Hits hockey video. Ryan and I went to Singer's house after school. Family Ties/Cosby Show season finales. Oilers beat Detroit 4-1.

Wednesday May 6, 1987

I got sent into the hall during French class. Began First-Aid classes. I went to Markham Place for lunch. I went to Singer's after school to play ping-pong. Montreal beat Philly 5-2.

Tuesday May 5, 1987

Handed in my French journal. Ate lunch at Hart's place. Bryan Sherman came back. Oilers lost 3-1 to Detroit - last place in the hockey pool!

Monday May 4, 1987

Wrote Goldberg's Math Test. Hart and I ate at Singer's house. Played tennis after school with Ulrich at German Mills courts. Philly beat Montreal 4-3 OT.

Sunday May 3, 1987

Spent the day at Shelly's place with Hart, Greg (the midget South African missing a piece of finger), Zahler, Monique, & Shelly V. That night the Leafs lost game 7 in Detroit 3-0. Total losers.

Jill Brown's Bat-Mitzvah. Treasure of the Hills' released in stores - this is a romance novel with Gabe on the cover! Spent the afternoon at Markham Place with Hart, Deb G, Brian, Singer, Milberg, Shelly, Monique& Marla.

Second round of relay team tryouts. French test and journals due. Had lunch at Hart's place. Went to Singer's to watch Leaf game - they lost 4-2 (series now tied 3-3).
