Sunday March 29, 1987

Gabe wouldn't give me a drive to the old neighborhood so I ended up walking to Willowbrook (Pining Rd. specifically). Played road hockey with Paul, Jordi, Katzin, Shane, Mark, Taits, Yanner, Guy and Drew. I vaguely recall getting a hat-trick, but I could be mixing it up with the numerous other games I got a hat-trick in.

Saturday March 28, 1987

Jordi and I watched Armed and Dangerous. My parents' 20th wedding anniversary. Gabe and I bought them a gift and we went to a nice French restaurant for dinner.

Friday March 27, 1987

I got a C on my band (trumpet) test. Hart came over for lunch. I got A on landscape drawing. After school Hart beat up Phil Crouch.

Thursday March 26, 1987

I went to Hart's for lunch. Ball hockey league started - we won 9-3.

Wednesday March 25, 1987

Gabe came back from France and Spain. I played tennis with Ulrich (he cheated in a big way).

Tuesday March 24, 1987

York Region speech contest. Hart came over for lunch. Pepper ate my Rice Krispy Squares. Worked on my book report - Murder On The Orient Express.

Monday March 23, 1987

Back to school! Had to present in French and Science classes. A health nurse came to look for lice and talk about stuff. Brian came over after school.

Sunday March 22, 1987

Played tennis with Hart at Mayfair. Finished homework and prepared for going back to school.

Saturday March 21, 1987

Hart and I hung out in Yorkville and then went to see Laser Genesis at the McLaughlin Planetarium. Hart slept over that night. We watched Youngblood.

Friday March 20, 1987

I spent the day at Richmond Hill Country Club with Gary. Met up with Hart & Ulrich for dinner at Markham Place. We all went back to my place and watched 10 to Midnight.

Thursday March 19, 1987

I organized a ball hockey game between German Mills and Willowbrook. We played at German Mills and won 9-8 (although it was controversial because we extended time). It was pretty intense, and Jordi and I got into a scrap. I can't recall the exact squads, but it was something along the lines of:

German Mills - Alpern, Ryan, Hart, Gary, Ariel
Willowbrook - Katzin, Kamin, Jordi, Guy

Dinner with grandparents that night.

Wednesday March 18, 1987

Went downtown and saw Morgan Stuart Coming Home at the Eaton's Center with Hart, Milberg and Jon Cohen. Played nerf basketball in my room (I was 12 - cut me some slack!).

Tuesday March 17, 1987

Did homework. Met up with Hart and Jon Cohen ... just loitered around the neighborhood.

Monday March 16, 1987

I spent the first day of the March break loitering around Promenade w/Hart, Ulrich and Jon Cohen.

Sunday March 15, 1987

Played doubles tennis in the morning with Hart, Jon Cohen, and Al. Went back to Al's place and watched Iron Eagle. Gabe phoned from France. That night I went to Amy Osher's Bat-Mitzvah at the Richmond Hill Country Club.

Saturday March 14, 1987

Went to Amy Osher's Bat-Mitzvah. That afternoon Ulrich came over to watch Kiss Of The Spider Woman. I think it's safe to say we had no clue what exactly we were watching.

Friday March 13, 1987

Friday the 13th! We had a test in math class. Last day before March break! The first Round of the Davis Cup started.

Thursday March 12, 1987

Gabe phoned from France. School trip to the Toronto Zoo. Went to a movie with parents that night.

Wednesday March 11, 1987

We got As on our reworked history presentation. Finals of speech contest. Gabe left for Paris.

Tuesday March 10, 1987

Wrote a history test. Started Phys-ed project. Hart came over for lunch.

Monday March 9, 1987

Hung out after school with Hart and Ron at Markham Place.

Sunday March 8, 1987

Watched basketball on TV with Gabe. Did some homework. Gabe packed for France & Spain.

Saturday March 7, 1987

Spent the afternoon at Town & Country with Shelly P & V, Hart, Jon Cohen, and Marc Levine. Watched TV. Spoke on the phone with Tammy and Osher.

Friday March 6, 1987

Went to McDonald's for lunch with Ron. Went to Hart's place after school. Shelly P & V came over there later.

Thursday March 5, 1987

Lesley Vernor came by German Mills (I wonder if it had anything to do with our phonecall the night before????). If anyone reads this, and knows of Lesley's whereabouts, please provide an update in the comment section. I got an A+ on 2 math tests and art poster (that's 3 A+ for those keeping score). I hung out w/Shelly P after school.

Wednesday March 4, 1987

Hart & I had lunch at Singer's place. Ron, Hart, Ulrich & I went to Markham Place after school. Got the invite to Jordi K's Bar-Mitzvah. Spoke to Lesley Vernor on the telephone that night.

Tuesday March 3, 1987

Went to Hart's house for lunch. After school mom took Gabe, my grandparents and I over to see a house at 5 Shenstone Road. Later that night mom and dad bought that house. Watched an all-star Growing Pains episode!

Monday March 2, 1987

Singer, Ulrich, Hart & I went to McDonald's for lunch. I got a C+ on my science test and a B+ on my science book. That Mr. Bloom was tough!

Sunday March 1, 1987

A completely unremarkable day. Did some homework. Watched Murphy's Law. Went to sleep.
